Show Me Some... Love Quotes
At around $88, this amazing scarf is a little pricey. But HONESTLY, it's worth every penny. There are tons of imitators out there, and blame my US Weekly obsession, but I HAD to have the same scarf LiLo, Jessica Alba and Hillary Duff were rockin'. So last summer I picked one in an amazing cherry/watermelon shade, and I wore it everywhere. I wrapped it around my neck with a mini-trench. I let it hang long with a tank and jeans. I used it as a wrap in my over-ACed office. The compliments I received were endless. That linen beauty was light-weight, yet insulating. The scarf trend isn't going anywhere, and I don't know about you, but I love feeling celeb-fab, especially for less than a C-Note. If you're a girl that only sports black, navy or brown, pick one up in teal or chartreuse for a pop of color. If you only leave the house in ROY G BIV, pick one up in taupe or ivory. You won't be sorry. You'll wear it from now 'till, well, when I pick Good Housekeeping over US Weekly.
It's a Cash-miracle!!
Ok, so who doesn't love a new cashmere sweater?!? And who doesn't love a deal?? Put them together, and it's a cash-miracle!! Ask any fashion "expert", and you'll be told that cashmere sweaters are one of the basic building blocks of a great wardrobe, and who am I to argue with the experts? Anyway, this takes me to a fab find at J Crew. You can pick up their fab V-Neck cashmere sweater for $99.99. Enter the code EXTRA30 at checkout and they take an extra 30% off, bringing the sweater to a mere $70! J Crew is known for their super-soft, super-fine cashmere at reasonable prices. So, log on and stock up.

Fab Finds...
In my first post I disclosed my love of bargains. This however, has not been super evident in my last two posts. So, I have decided to do a weekly feature on some of my top sale recommendations. I hope you enjoy this week's pick!
This adorable dress is great with sandals for brunch, heels and a clutch for dinner or with a cardigan and some great peep-toes for the office.

Winter Blahs
You've had'em, I've had 'em. Who doesn't have 'em now, with the yucky, mid-winter weather? Not to fear, I have found the perfect pick-me-up. Feast your eyes on these Via Spiga cuties! Call me crazy, but nothing says spring like a flower on your shoe. Combine this with the reputation of Via Spiga's comfort and durability, their total wearability (make no mistake, this fab find will be seen on my feet at the office, on the weekend and beyond) and it's the perfect spring/summer shoe.
If you're not a flats girl, not to worry, I've included the high-heeled version for your wearing pleasure.
Quite frankly, there is nothing that makes me happier than Italian shoes (except maybe Italian bags, or Italian cashmere, or, well, you get the picture).

DVF and Me. BFF!
Last night I was taking a post-work stroll through Bloomingdales (as I often do, since it's on my way home) and I was reminded of an oldie but a goodie (okay, it may also have something to do with my blossoming "The City" obsession), Diane Von Furstenberg to my mom, DVF to me! When my mom was a working girl (not that kind!) in the 70's, she rocked Diane ALL TIME TIME! DVF is the ultimate day-to-night transition work wear. I am so bringing it back into full-time rotation. More specifically, a red DVF dress with an airplane motif. It's quirky enough to be me, professional enough for my corporate law firm, and sexy enough for a last-minute post-work outing. If the thought of airplanes on your dress is a little much for you, step out in this black/ivory stunner. Don't worry, they'll be more DVF where that came from.
Everyday Fashion for Everday Girls...
I love fashion. I love it. Period. I window shop when I'm broke, I pour over magazine spreads, and I'm the first person my friends call in the midst of a fashion-related crisis. Just one small problem, I don't spend my life running around in couture or mega-minis a la The City. So, I have decided to start this blog to discuss all things fashion that apply to the everyday girl. The girl with the office job and the roomie, the girl with a credit limit (or cash these days), the girl juggling a million things. I look forward to your feedback on how you stay fashionable, appropriate and within your budget. I hope I can offer tips and tricks that you'll find amusing, insightful and most of all, useful.
A little bit about me,
I am a legal assistant by day, wannabe stylist by night (or weekend).
I love high-end stores, but I love a bargain even more.
I am from Pennsylvania, but I live in Manhattan.
My New Year's resolutions are always the same. Save more, lose weight, avoid bad dates. Let's see how this year goes.
